How many years have you been in marketing (or doing what you’re doing)?
Officially, I've been writing for over 5 years in the marketing industry. Unofficially, I've been
happily writing and persuading people for over 20 years.
What industries have you worked in?
Oh, gosh. Too many to count. My favorites have been food services, DIY pool care, windows, skin
care, paper products, and random toys that you can find online (specifically, drones).
What talents do you have?
Other than writing for marketing (and for fun), I'm great at cooking, transforming into a
NASCAR driver behind the wheel (Go-karts are my specialty), never tiring during hikes, and
making the people in my life feel seen and heard.
What outside interests do you have?
I LOVE hockey. And food. I'm a huge foodie. Other than that, I dabble with MANY outside
interests and hobbies: traveling, reading, creative writing, painting, hiking, camping, swimming,
boating, riding (ATVs, horses, etc.), golf (including disc and mini), ice skating, rollerblading,
video games, MBTIs, nerding out over every possible fandom. Basically, I'll try anything once
and get way too invested in things.
What is your favorite movie line?
"Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, the most inexhaustible source of magic we have.
Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it." - Albus Dumbledore (J.K. Rowling)
What is the Buzz about you (accolades or certifications)?
Education: B.A. English, Communication Studies minor (Saint Cloud State University); A.A.
General Studies (Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College)
HubSpot Certifications: Coming soon
Accolades: Vice President and Director of Recruitment, Forensics Speech and Debate Club
(SCSU); Leadership Award winner in 2018 (SCSU); National Honorary Society member of Pi
Kappa Delta (SCSU); published in Best Emerging Poets January 2018 and Upper Mississippi
Harvest April 2018 (SCSU); published in Thunderbird Review April 2016 (Fond du Lac Tribal and
Community College)
Why do you like working here?
I love the people, the transparency, and the fun. It feels like a big family. Everyone is treated
with respect, nobody is ever left out of the loop, there's no hierarchy, your opinions are
appreciated, and we laugh a lot.
What gets you up in the morning?
My alarm. Okay, but seriously, my need for achievement and wanting to do great things in the
world. I start every day at zero. The more I accomplish, the more that figurative number goes
up, and the better I feel. Since I hate public speaking, I want to help the world as much as I can
through writing. I love helping small businesses enhance their marketing tactics because it
creates better communication in this world while simultaneously improving the economy.
What is your BuzzWord?
"Yes, ma'am" or "Yes, sir." I'm a big 'yes' gal.
Favorite candy bar
I can't pick just one! Butterfingers, Heath, white chocolate, or anything with lots of gooey
caramel nestled inside.
