Creating a Custom Dynamic Web App with Personalization

Manufacturing Pathways

Manufacturing Pathways is a state-funded initiative created by the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association (MPMA) to bridge the gap between education and employment in the manufacturing industry. The program connects students, job seekers, and employers with training opportunities, career pathways, and workforce resources — all under one digital roof.

MPMA had a grant from the state and a vision: but no platform. MPMA needed a partner to build a solution from the ground up; a system powerful enough to handle multiple user types with different priorities, deliver real-time personalization based on live data, and prove measurable results for continued state funding.

The Challenge

The initiative had a powerful mission but no technical infrastructure. The Pathways team needed a way to make the program accessible and scalable, but off-the-shelf apps couldn’t support their complexity, maintain necessary security, and also integrate with their current CRM.

Without a dedicated system, it would be impossible to:

  • Match students and job seekers with the right opportunities
  • Track engagement and outcomes for state reporting
  • Integrate data from one system into their CRM

They needed a digital solution that could do it all — and grow with them.

Client Priorities

  • Create a single system to support multiple audience types, fully customized for each user group (students, employers, and job seekers)
  • Serve up personalized content based on a user’s preferences, and allow users to update their information and preferences anytime

  • Integrate seamlessly with HubSpot’s CRM for tracking and reporting

  • Prove engagement and results for grant renewal

  • Have something that works now, but can also be scaled as the program grows

The Plan

BizzyWeb created a completely customized web app to meet the needs of the Pathways program. This full membership app would be completely personalized and populate dynamic data.

From the ground up, BizzyWeb built a custom membership web app capable of serving three distinct user types with different needs:

  • Students, to access training programs and education resources
  • Job Seekers, to upload resumes, update profiles, and explore personalized career matches
  • Employers, to post listings, view candidates, and access workforce tools

The system was built to sync directly with HubSpot CRM, ensuring every user interaction and preference was captured for reporting and outreach. BizzyWeb used GraphQL to pull and render CRM data quickly, creating a seamless experience for users while giving administrators real-time visibility into activity.

With future expansion in mind, the web app was structured to support new automation, including SMS notifications for matching opportunities — a key feature for engaging younger audiences. This framework positioned MPMA to scale the program easily while maintaining strong reporting for future grants.

The Results

The Manufacturing Pathways web app brought MPMA’s vision to life — turning an idea into a scalable, secure system.

What once existed only on paper is now a digital system that connects users across Minnesota’s manufacturing ecosystem. Students, job seekers, and employers each have their own personalized experience, with real-time data flowing directly into HubSpot for instant reporting and insights.

By syncing everything through HubSpot’s CRM, MPMA can now track engagement, measure impact, and confidently report results back to the state. The web app also ensures no manual data entry work is needed, saving staff time and improving accuracy across programs.

That proven engagement made all the difference. Out of roughly 20 organizations awarded initial grant funding, MPMA was one of only a few to earn renewal — backed by a working product and measurable outcomes from the Pathways web app.

The system’s flexible foundation ensures it can evolve as the program grows. This modern, integrated approach has solidified Manufacturing Pathways as one of Minnesota’s leading examples of digital workforce innovation.
