How a Trusted Forklift Supplier Improved SEO with HubSpot CMS

Bennett Material Handling is a trusted supplier of forklifts and material handling equipment with over 40 team members. Based in Hopkins, MN, they offer sales, parts and services in the Twin Cities Metro and the greater Minnesota area. Bennett’s reputation as a leading provider of integrated solutions for material handling, storage, ergonomics, and productivity is built on representing respected industry brands, enabling them to offer a comprehensive range of equipment and services suitable for businesses of all sizes.

As such, their prospects needed a credible, resourceful site that would convey the brand’s product and service offerings. Additionally, they needed to compete in search rankings with other companies that also represent the same brands.

The Challenge

One of the main challenges for Bennett was that their website was outdated and slow, and sparse with text. The content was minimal and gave little information to prospects, the site provided a poor user experience and the design was aged. This led to potential clients often being unable to find the information they needed and site navigation was clunky, resulting in fewer leads.

The Plan

Our overarching goal was to redesign the site and completely refresh the content while maintaining the essence of the Bennett brand. Functionality and architecture were a key focus, so we proposed an overhaul of the design elements from their old site. We wanted to increase load times and overall usability while providing a modern design. The old site had little coherency or informative content, and we wanted to fix that.

After researching their industry, we created personas that were fictional representations of the users who would be seeking their services.

Once live, the new Bennett Material Handling website featured an improved brand presence, better SEO, direct calls to action (CTA) and a modern design. The site’s homepage highlighted Bennett’s forklift companies and their offered services, accompanied by CTAs to get users to take action.

The service pages were expanded with SEO-driven content. We focused on increasing rankings for key terms that Benett’s audience would be likely to search for on Google and other search engines.

Overall, the site was created to focus on the products and services that were central to the brand while boasting a faster site speed and presenting a unified design.
